We can engage with businesses in a number of ways, both directly and indirectly.
Finance for projects
Larger businesses can benefit directly from the range of financial products we offer. These are not off-the-shelf but are fully tailored on a per-client basis.
To be eligible for EBRD investment, businesses must be located and owned within one of the economies where we invest, and operate in one of the business sectors that we work in.
Project finance is at the heart of what we do and the EBRD is proud of its financial credentials and regional track-record. We invite prospective clients to read more about why you should finance with us.
Our Business development team provides a key entry point for investors interested in our region, working to understand a company’s business & investment goals, matching them with tailored services offered by the Bank.
Advisory services and finance for smaller businesses
The EBRD works with small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) by offering access to financial services through both direct and indirect sources. We also provide advisory support by connecting SMEs with expert consultants based locally in our region of operations. 99% of all companies in the economies where we invest fall into the SME category and this sector is a vital ingredient for a healthy market economy.
Procurement for EBRD projects
Our projects generate many procurement opportunities for businesses. Around 300 such opportunities are placed per year, amounting to about EUR 3 billion in value.
The Bank welcomes individuals and companies from all countries of the world to take part in its projects as suppliers, contractors, service providers or consultants.
All our project procurement opportunities are managed through an online portal.
Corporate procurement for EBRD offices and operations
We also publish procurment notices for suppliers to tender for corporate procurement opportunities, covering anything from office and building services to software products to business consultants. Corporate procurement is also managed through an online platform, where interested parties can register and apply for contracts.
