The contents of this report were guided by consultation with stakeholders and staff to assess what information they deemed material. The GRI Report 2021 also covers topics that are not widely considered material, but which give a fuller picture of our approach to sustainability. This is the EBRD’s first stand-alone GRI Disclosure Report. The Bank has applied the Global Reporting Initiative Standards to structure its content. Most of the information has previously been published by the Bank in other forms, including on our website and in our annual Sustainability Report. It is intended that this disclosure will enable stakeholders to gain a comprehensive overview of the EBRD’s approach to environmental, social and governance issues in one place. Additional information on the environmental and social impact of the Bank’s investment and policy engagement activities this year is provided in the EBRD’s Sustainability Report 2020. The contents of this report were guided by the results of a public survey of stakeholders and staff to assess the information that is deemed material. This included consultation with relevant EBRD staff and a survey of stakeholders. The material topics are listed on page 19. This report also addresses a number of additional topics that are not widely considered material but which provide a fuller picture of the EBRD’s sustainability approach.
