Elisabetta Falcetti

Elisabetta Falcetti is EBRD Managing Director for Türkiye and the Caucasus. She is accountable for EBRD investment and policy activities in the region.

Before taking on this role, from September 2021, Ms Falcetti was the Regional Head, Poland and the Baltic states. During this period, annual business investment in Poland doubled from €598 million in 2021 to a record of €1.3 billion in 2023, making Poland the Bank's third-largest investee country after Türkiye and Ukraine, while business activity in the Baltic states sustained a new high of €300 milliom per year. on average.

In 2013, she became Director, Sector Economics and Policy in the Vice Presidency, Policy and Partnerships. She was also a member of the EBRD Investment Committee.

Ms Falcetti joined the EBRD in 2000 in London as a Country Economist in the Office of the Chief Economist, where she held a number of roles, including Senior Sector Economist for Ukraine, and Lead Economist for Türkiye.

Ms Falcetti, a dual Italian and British national, holds two PhDs in Economics, from L. Bocconi University (Milan) and the London School of Economics.
