Christoph Sicking leads the operational department of the Office of the General Counsel, which supports the EBRD’s operations across its regions. He also oversees the team of lawyers dedicated to the EBRD’s corporate recovery and work-out matters.
Mr. Sicking joined the Office of the General Counsel in 2000 and became Assistant General Counsel in 2015. Before joining the EBRD, he worked at corporate law firm Hunton Andrews Kurth in New York, specialising in cross-border asset finance. Prior to that, he worked in the non-profit sector in Canada.
Mr. Sicking is Chair of the International Committee of the Law Society of England and Wales and Editor-in-Chief of the Intergovernmental Organisations In-house Counsel Journal.
A German and French national, he holds a degree in Political Science from Simon Fraser University (Canada), and degrees in Common and Civil Law from McGill University (Canada).
