Mariam Ajapahyan

Mariam Ajapahyan, an Armenian national, holds the position of Senior Officer Compliance on a six-month secondment. She comes from the Procurement Policy and Advisory Department of the Bank where she has been dealing with Procurement cases since joining the Bank in 2021.

Before EBRD, Mariam worked in the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg. Mariam also worked on projects funded by KFW in Armenia, and later for civil society organisations tackling media freedom, social issues, and gender equality in the country. She brings to IPAM a strong background on cultural heritage and linguistics.

She is also fluent in Armenian, English, and Russian.
