The Greek Ministry of National Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy and the EBRD are pleased to showcase the Green Ferries PPP model in Greece, a key initiative aimed at decarbonizing Greece’s maritime sector. The project is supported by the Greek Project Preparation Facility (GPPF), established by the Government of Greece and EBRD, designed to support the project preparation of public sector infrastructure investments and policy dialogue.
As Greece works to align its coastal ferry fleet with the EU’s “Fit for 55” regulatory framework, this event will bring together key policymakers, industry leaders, and financial institutions to discuss the transition to low-emission, future-resilient ferry services. The agenda will feature discussions on innovative blended funding mechanisms, regulatory developments, and international best practices in green ferry implementation.
The Event will take place on Monday, 31st March 2025 at EBRD’s HQ in London, UK.
