TCFD Report 2021
In 2021, the EBRD remained an active observer of the Network of Central Banks and Supervisors for Greening the Financial System (known as the Network for Greening the Financial System, or NGFS) and participated in the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) TCFD programme. The Bank also continues to lead a multilateral development bank (MDB) working-level group for the discussion and exchange of experience on implementing TCFD and climate risk-related processes to promote the adoption of best practices on climate issues. Furthermore, the EBRD established the Climate Corporate Governance Hub and Facility to support financial institutions and corporate clients in improving their internal governance to enhance the identification and management of climate considerations in their investment decisions and strategy.
