International environmental cooperation

Many of the environmental challenges of the region are trans-boundary. These have to be addressed at a regional or global level, and the EBRD supports international agreements related to the environment and sustainable development. The Bank actively contributes to the implementation of these agreements by liaising with governments and convention secretariats to find practical solutions that help clients comply.
